Brenda Ullrich is a Zimbabwean artist, who grew up in the Eastern Highlands bordering Mocambique, and now based on the Isle Wight
A visual artist whose inspiration is from mixed sources which could be poetry or written text,newspaper and magazine images, her own photographs
Using a variety of techniques, from thin washes to thick impasto, she often works in layers, creating a kind of layered memory. Drawing is an important aspect of her practice
